Renumbering and Verifying Games

Renumbering the Grid

When you start the designer on a game or template the grid is automatically renumbered for you. In other words, the grid is scanned and indexes are placed in squares that begin Across or Down words.

When you toggle a square from letter to block, or from block to letter, the grid will need renumbering because new Across or Down clues may be required, or existing clues need to be removed.

If you do not renumber the grid after toggling a square you will not be able to verify the game.

Verifying the Grid

Verifying a game does not verify its contents, it merely verifies that all input fields have been filled with text. Also, verification ensures that there are no extra clues lying around.
